Watching it snow outside tends to make me think of warmer and sunnier days — which were not that long ago. Back in mid-October I was able to hike up one of the peaks of Seymour mountain:

Test of Metal 2009

I just registered for the Test of Metal on June 20, 2009. Registration opened at 6pm today. In past years it has sold out in a few hours.
The Test of Metal is an annual 67 km mountain bike race in Squamish, B.C. with some up and down. I did the race once in 2002. It’s surprisingly fun with thousands of people coming out to cheer you on and a host of volunteers handing you water and snacks throughout the course.
So now I’m committed to doing it again in 2009 which probably means more exercise and less pie between now and June. Well more exercise at least.
